Rancho Cucamonga, CA – June 20, 2023Paul Su, Senior VP of Retail Leasing & Sales at Progressive Real Estate Partners, represented the landlord in a 10-year lease with The Habit Burger Grill for a 2,366 sf drive thru pad building at 1245 N. Grand Avenue in Walnut, California. Situated directly across from Mt. San Antonio College with a student and faculty population of 30,000+ the building enjoys a prime location at the signalized intersection of North Grand Avenue and Amar Road, with average traffic counts of 61,000+ cars per day. The Habit plans to do a significant renovation of the building to showcase the chain’s latest drive-thru concept and is expected to open by the end of this year.  Other tenants in the strip center include Subway, Wingstop, Yoshinoya, Chevron and a variety of service-related businesses.  Additionally, the property benefits from favorable demographics with a daytime population of more than 36,000 employees and a total population of over 76,000 residents within a 3-mile radius. The average household income is $132,250.

The first Habit Burger Grill opened in Santa Barbara, California in 1969 and the chain has since grown to nearly 340 restaurants in the United States.  This popular fast-casual restaurant is well known for its freshly prepared, made-to-order chargrilled burgers, as well as grilled chicken and steak sandwiches. Their menu also features a range of fresh salads and side dishes.
